Kristin Michelle Russ was born in the small village of Sparta, just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  As the niece of a photographer,  she was trained in the ways of the studio and darkroom at an early age.  Her passion for photography gradually led her to the art of oil painting.  

Kristin attended Kendall College of Art and Design, concentrating in oil painting and photography. Later, she graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with the remarkable ability to capture timeless emotion throughout her artwork. 

Throughout her professional career, Kristin has collaborated with numerous companies, including local establishments in southern California such as Sunwest Studios, True Photography Weddings, the Icon, Lionshead Studio, Cozy Meal, and as a creator of bespoke artwork for businesses throughout Southern California.

Kristin's photography and paintings  are full of vibrancy and her personal expression of life. Her artwork is displayed in various locations across the country from the Midwest to the West Coast, and decorates many of her customers’ homes.
